Deciding where to pursue your career often comes down to intangibles.

Ask yourself a few questions when looking at the place where you might begin, or continue, your career. Do the employees look forward to coming to work each day? Are they given rewarding opportunities? Do they work well together? Are employees empowered to bring their skills and knowledge forward? Is the corporate culture nurturing, and are life experiences and diversity valued? What is the attitude toward the broader community and to health, safety and the environment?

If these are important questions for you, then take note: your values are perfectly aligned with ours. At MPC, we invest directly in the success and personal growth of our dynamic, enthusiastic, talented employees. Mentoring at MPC

Today’s competitive marketplace requires that we develop and retain the best and brightest people to ensure continued success. Research has shown that one of the ways to accomplish this is through the use of a mentoring program to support developing all employees to their fullest potential.

The MPC Mentoring Program serves to support employee development, engagement and inclusive culture, while stimulating creativity and strengthening the overall knowledge base of the organization. We believe that through the exchange of intellectual capital, our employees will learn and develop additional thought processes and strategies that impact and increase technological and business expertise.

Through the MPC Mentoring Program, an experienced employee (the mentor) is formally paired with another employee (the protégé) to allow the protégé to benefit from the professional experience and knowledge of the mentor. We encourage all employees to consider being a protégé or a mentor through the MPC Mentoring Program.

The purpose of MPC Mentoring Program is to:

Assist with career and professional development

  • Build a pipeline of talent
  • Foster cross-functional knowledge sharing
  • Share knowledge and skill
  • Promote diversity & inclusion

New hire mentoring is required for all salaried employees within the first year of a new hire’s employment. A person new to MPC will be matched with a more experienced employee to integrate newly hired employees into the organization, share knowledge and skills, assist with understanding the culture and promote diversity and inclusion.
