POSITION SUMMARY: 

 

This position will perform installation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, repairs and system development for all systems including motor controls, distributive controls, PLC’s, communications systems such as satellite, cellular, RF systems, SCADA operations maintenance and any other technical issues that may arise. Duties will also include daily monitoring of pipeline and compressor station operations, as well as controls required for the management critical equipment on all regulated pipeline systems. The position will have the ability to give assistance to construction, measurement and communications on an as needed basis.

 

  • 24-hour monitoring of Control and Data Acquisition system
  • Installing and calibrating any electrical or instrument devices related to MarkWest Energy
  • Plant and system controls DELTAV & SCADA operations and maintenance
  • Reporting any unsafe condition or situation that would compromise the integrity of any MarkWest equipment or locations
  • Maintaining clean and safe working environment for plant operations
  • Making any or all repairs as deemed reasonable and safe
  • Maintaining scheduled preventative maintenance programs on instrumentation and electrical equipment
  • Maintaining and repairing all software automations related issues
  • Maintaining operation of the plant Chromatographs and moisture analyzers
  • Compressor station operations and automation
  • Minor and major electrical and software maintenance
  • Maintaining accurate records shutdown and safety checks
  • Maintaining all required documentation for process safety management
  • Operate and Maintaining the company vehicle at all times to ensure safety to him/her and the equipment that he will operate
  • Maintaining the tools and equipment issued to him/her
  • Ordering software, electrical & Instrument parts as needed contractors

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • 5+ years of applicable experience
  • Must hold a valid Driver License and have an excellent driving record
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical, drug test and background check
  • Must be willing to work 12 hour shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to take On Call on a regular basis
  • Applicants must be professional, have a positive attitude and be a team player
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize and execute many tasks at once
