The Sr. Information Technology Specialist will deliver, manage, and promote our modern IT Hybrid Cloud service capabilities. The position will be primarily focused on engineering and delivery in our public cloud environments.

The candidate must have a broad knowledge of public cloud infrastructure, automation and orchestration. The candidate must develop infrastructure software in teams and be comfortable with modern approaches to testing and code reviews to support our automation capabilities.



  • Leads and drives the adoption of the company's cloud and system automation strategies.
  • Works in tandem with our development team to identify and implement the company's most optimal cloud-based solutions.
  • Provides consulting, guidance, and ownership as appropriate to project teams, business analysts, service delivery personnel, clients, and management.
  • Educates teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required.
  • Competency in writing and maintaining custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower downtime due to required human intervention. 
  • Deploys and debugs cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Documents recurring, complex problems and provides recommendation for resolution and prevention.
  • Writes, comprehends and delivers Terraform infrastructure and native capability deployment templates in a scalable and repeatable manner.
  • Builds and manages new virtual servers and templates, automation platform runbooks, and ARM templates.
  • Manages cloud environments in accordance with company standards including compliance with cloud cybersecurity standards and best practices.
  • Ensures consistent Operating System hardening and compliance through the development and use of tooling and automation.
  • Manages secrets and encryption key management systems.
  • Develops processes and procedures to support our day-to-day operations.
  • Participates in Azure Dev/Ops planning for future of hosted applications
  • Interfaces with other vendors as required to resolve complex issues.

  • The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of four years’ experience.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Azure and its native services.
  • Knowledge and experience with system automation and orchestration platforms (e.g. Terraform, Ansible).
  • Knowledge and experience with several infrastructure software tools and platforms (e.g. SQL, Spark, Hadoop, Scala, Kafka, Redshift, Linux).
  • Knowledge and experience working with programming languages (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Ruby).
  • Experience migrating workloads across public/private cloud environments.
  • Relevant work experience in a DevOps environment.
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration in a production environment (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, EKS).
  • Experience creating and leveraging GIT in a team development environment.
  • Ability to generate and maintain scripts for automation.
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
