A co-op/internship with MPC Information Technology Services (ITS) can provide you the valued experience needed to work in today’s competitive working environment while delivering efficient and effective solutions. With an in-depth understanding of business and technology, ITS employees are uniquely positioned to deliver business value across all segments of the company.

 

MPC ITS offers a diverse set of opportunities which gives you exposure to the different areas of our business. With the potential to have multiple sessions, you will gain valuable real world experience while enhancing your skill set in one or more of the following ITS job roles:

 

Business Analysis:

Understands business needs and translates those needs into technical requirements and solutions

Works closely with business clients, peers and Marathon Partners

 

Infrastructure:

Supports existing IT Infrastructure by reliably delivering applications, functionality and connectivity to the business

Aids in securing MPC’s data and applications on existing and new infrastructure

 

Application Development & Integration:

Uses technical requirements to develop and implement solutions

Tests and troubleshoots new and existing systems

 

Systems Analysis:

Develops an understanding of standards, policies, guidelines, security requirements, development and functional tools, and utilizes them to enhance the quality and ensure compliance of all ITS activities

Interprets data and communicates findings to other job roles

 

Qualifications:

  • Desired Majors: Computer Science & Engineering; Computer Science & Engineering Technology; Management Information Systems; Computer Information Systems; Information Systems & Analytics; Computer Engineering; Software Engineering and Computer Science
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Positions are available spring, summer, and fall semesters.
  • Military experience a plus

  • Refinery locations: Canton, OH; Catlettsburg, KY; Detroit, MI; Garyville, LA; Robinson, IL; Texas City, TX (Galveston Bay).
