Marathon Petroleum Corporation, based in Findlay, OH, is seeking a Masters level student for a wellness/health promotion internship opportunity. This comprehensive expierence will provide a student with the opportunity to develop skills in the following competencies: Program Coordination; Program Measurment & Evaluation; Behavior Change Science; Resource Devleopment; Public Speaking



  • Provide support for current health promotion events at the Findlay Campus and satilite offices includeing Health Fairs, Screenings and Flu shots
  • Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of wellness programming including communications, presentations and workshops
  • Contribute content for a monthly wellness newsletter distributed to employees
  • Facilitiating presentations in front of diverse audiances across the company
  • Assist with the planning of the annual Findlay Campus Health Fair and support satellite office health fairs
  • Implementation and evaluation of one organization specific intervention
  • Lead the onsite wellness space activities under the direction of Corporate Wellness staff including:
    • Daily morning stretch class
    • Body Composition screenings
    • Introductory wellness sessions



  • Current Masters Degree Program student preferred in fields of Health Promotion, Public Health, Exercise Science, or related discipline
  • Availability includes 8-12 weeks in length based on academic program requirements
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Military experience a plus
