  • Participate in the assessment of competitor companies.
  • Review various industry reports, company websites, and competitor’s SEC 10-K filings and update asset databases with relevant information including but not limited to:
    • Terminals
    • Refineries
    • Pipelines
    • Marine
    • Capacity
    • Retail sites
    • Major U.S. and non-U.S. refinery projects
  • Research and analyze quantitative data from a financial perspective.
    • Document and communicate any observations and/or red flags.
  • Summarize and document competitor quarterly earnings calls.
  • Participate in informational meetings to analyze business and financial opportunities at Marathon.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Economics, Treasury, and Commercial Credit organizations on potential opportunities.
  • Perform routine collection and retention management of documents such as competitor presentations, filings, quarterly reports, etc.
  • Assist in ad-hoc operational and financial research of industry data and trends.
  • Develop Excel reports for analysis of industry trends.
