The primary role of the GIS Analyst is to assist in the development and oversee the maintenance and functionality of a Geographical Information System utilizing the ESRI ArcGIS software platform using acceptable industry standard GIS practices. This position serves as one of the primary point of contacts for the coordination of GIS data issues.


• Input and manage an ArcGIS database through a modified APDM geodatabase schema.
• Acquire, convert and manage data from field operations and public data sources using GIS software.
• Creates and edits geospatial data files, including maps; integrating a range of data formats.
• Conducts complex spatial analysis using a variety of ArcMap extensions and other software extensions, utilizing multiple databases.
• Serves as the primary point of contact for the coordination and resolution of GIS data issues.
• Maintains records, prepares periodic and special reports of work performed. Creates system documentation and document work flow procedures.
• Performs related duties and additional projects as required.


• Proficient in ESRI ArcGIS 9.2.2 or higher
• Proficient in utilizing cartography, coordinate systems/projections for mapping and analysis
• Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities and meet firm deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience, Computer Science, GIS or other related field, or a minimum of 3 years of industry related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with oil and gas pipeline preferred.
