POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Marketing Project Manager ensures all activities performed are aligned and cohesive to Marathon Petroleum Mexico’s Branding Strategy. Is responsible for supporting marketing operations and communications by managing timelines and processes and implementing strategies that support Andeavor Mexico’s organizational growth. Visits dealers on-site to monitor that the services offered adhere to the contract and established branding guidelines. In this oversight role this individual will coordinate all activity related to the branding of the ARCO retail sites with the local Marketing team, Wholesale Customers and the Marathon Petroleum support staff. This will include collaborating with all stakeholders on site surveys, project timeline, required trade dress, installation and compliance with ARCO standards. Is also responsible for identifying potential risks and scope changes and proactively works to mitigate the impact of these risks. Reports directly to the Director of Marketing North West Mexico.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Creates project schedules and manage project prioritization in accordance with business and marketing priorities and goals
  • Estimates costs, resources and time required to complete deliverables, becoming an active part of branding process. 
  • Coordinates activities of project team and/or outside contractors to ensure milestones are met
  • Tracks project progress and monitors performance against plan
  • Visits dealers on-site to monitor the compliance of ARCO image guidelines as well as with terms of the contract and Andeavor Mexico’s branding guidelines
  • Ensures correct brand positioning of the product line consistency with Andeavor Mexico’s brand
  • Work with supply chain to optimize cost associated with ARCO trade dress elements and act as liaison with wholesaler
  • Evaluates potential risks and recommends solutions and/or controls to alleviate them
  • Assist in developing a custom scope of work for each proposed project to ensure compliance with ARCO standards
  • Ensures procedures are implemented and well documented, performs reviews, and identifies compliance gaps/issues that call for formal attention 
  • Ensures the reimbursement process for approved sites are properly executed. 
  • Ensures connectivity across all cross-functional departments to guarantee alignment across service standards provided by dealers
  • Ensure that conversion projects are completed to ARCO standards and in compliance within site specific Scope of Work.
  • Oversee all aspects of any ARCO controlled conversion projects ensuring image is installed correctly before submitting site for approval and operations
  • Accountable for developing structured process to submit photos to the Branded Product Marketing Manager 
  • Oversee the upgrade or replacement of image components at existing ARCO locations as needed.
  • Orders site surveys and site drawings
  • Orders imaging materials including processing purchase requisitions
  • Coordinates shipping of materials with suppliers
  • Verifies installer receives materials in a timely manner
  • Keeps site status tracking updated in Salesforce
  • Travel requirements are moderate to high (50%) – National travel will be required 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • University degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a marketing related position 
  • Fluent speaking/writing in both Spanish and English required.
