Is responsible for maintaining and developing the business and operational relationship of Marathon Petroluem Mexico with the ARCO brand, as well as any other branded partners. Ensures successful delivery of all customer value proposition elements and related marketing programs that grow brand equity within the Chihuahua area.  Implements corporate brand strategy and manage the financial performance to ensure maximum sales and profitability to Marathon Petroleum Mexico.  Manages the development of all consumer-facing marketing communication efforts including, but not limited to creative development, promotions, costumer media plans, and consumer market research.  This position could be located in either Tijuana or Juarez.




  • Acts as Marathon Petroleum Mexico representative with ARCO, by maintaining and developing a good working relationship with customers and key accounts
  • Oversees the execution of approved advertising campaigns for branded channels of trade and executes regional promotions 
  • Maintain strong supplier – customer interface across the branded channels of trade
  • Monitors for compliance with brand, image and trade standards
  • Works collaboratively to resolve discrepancies and/or disagreements regarding brand representation, operating processes and procedures
  • Understands, reviews, and explains contracts to ARCO operators, as required
  • Maintains key contacts with customers to help grow branded contract volume volume across MW Mexico
  • Participates in contract negotiations for Mexico to insure that branded customers and corporate objectives are met
  • Ensures the achievement of brand standard requirements by performing evaluations of brand adherence, tracking results and recommending improvements
  • Evaluates regional market economics on a periodic basis to assess contract performance and to modify marketing programs and contract pricing if deemed necessary
  • Develops and manages budgeting and forecasting for volume/margin, operating expenses, and capital budgets for branded channels
  • Acts as liaison with corporate Marketing area as needed to accomplish goals and objectives
  • Prepares management reports, forecasts, analyses, etc. and assists with input for budgeting and forecasting as needed
  • Supervises the development of pricing strategies to maximize returns
  • Ensures products are appropriately priced for designated areas
  • Coordinates and serves as marketing liaison with the corporate Marketing Services to insure that regional marketing areas are meeting corporate objectives within company policy guidelines




  • University degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field or Engineering required, with emphasis on Brand Management
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of brand, marketing, or advertising experience in downstream oil industry required
  • Fluent speaking/writing in both Spanish and English required.
