SUMMARY:  This position reports to the General Manager and oversees the operations of multi-unit gas processing facilities.  Performs all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and government requirements.

 

As a team member, this person will also assist in other Maintenance, Engineering and EH&S related activities.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Manage day to day operations of gas processing plants and associated gas/liquid pipelines; including directing operating personnel in optimization of unit throughput.
  • Develop and maintain culture of a safe working environment
  • Develop, prepare, and distribute necessary operational reports
  • Develops and manages plant capital and operating budgets.
  •  Responsible for plant process safety management and risk management plan programs and compliance.
  •  Responsible for all facility compliance with all applicable regulations (OSHA, DEP…)
  • Schedules and plans work utilizing preventative maintenance programs such as Oracle.
  • Lead in process hazard analysis and pre startup safety reviews related to new facilities and modifications to existing.
  • Maintain productive relationships with external customers including; marketing/commercial group, gas suppliers, contractors, vendors, government agencies, and regulatory agencies.
  • Responsible for managing the operation budgets.
  • Oversee plant personnel and manage the Plant Manager as a direct report to the position
  • Participate on the Emergency Management Organization team.
  • Assist in updating and creating new operating procedures and general plant procedures.
  • Acting as liaison between Operations and Engineering on projects including; design support, isolation plans, P&ID revalidations, and mechanical integrity program.
  • Oversee and supervise all field engineering projects.
  • Define process operations, historical data to marketing and commercial group.
  • Oversee equipment failure reviews, root cause investigations and PSSR reviews
  • Promote and manage all aspects of the Work Safe Program

 

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • This position requires a Bachelor degree  from a 4 year accredited college or university(Engineering preferred)  with 7-10 years of industry experience..
  • Prior leadership experience is required
  • Must have knowledge of natural gas gathering, compression, processing and marketing.
  • Current valid driver's license required.  
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of individuals/employees is required.
  • Communication skills will carry a heavy emphasis.

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:     A minimum of 7 years operations experience and 5 years supervisor or managing experience required.  Bachelor’s degree in related field (equivalent education & experience may be considered)

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:    Current valid driver's license required

 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:             Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.   

 

COMPUTER SKILLS:     Basic computer skills to include knowledge of Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint.
