This position will supervise routine maintenance and repair as well as all plant operations. These duties will include but are not limited to all compressor and plant monitoring and maintenance, process control adjustments, monitoring of pipeline SCADA systems, DCS and SCADA systems integrity and any other duties requested by supervision. The position will have the ability to give assistance to construction, maintenance other operations personnel on an as needed basis. Provides rotating, after-hours and weekend coverage. Performs all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and government requirements.

• Monitor operating variables and keep within normal range to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
• Maintain communications with co-worker in all departments.
• Provide detailed verbal relief with other shifts.
• Monitor all on-line analyzers and lab data for product specification.
• Inspect and PM all equipment in assigned area.
• Complete unit readings forms and communicates all equipment problems to Plant Manager.
• Perform minor mechanical and/or maintenance activities.
• Insure that all operators conduct timely, effective rounds in their assigned areas.
• Coordination of de-pressuring, draining, flushing steaming and purging of equipment.
• Issue permits in all process areas.
• Train all operators in process for advancement.
• Oversee the preparation of process equipment for maintenance.
• Perform the required activities to control the unit during normal and abnormal operation and assists in the prevention and correction of all operational issues.
• Set shift goals and individual goals for operators on shift.
• Inspect and lubricate as required of mechanical equipment.
• Callout and authorize overtime to correct problems which could limit production.
• Notify proper agencies concerning releases, spills, of flaring events.
• Perform toolbox safety talks on a weekly basis.
• Review and sign off the Shift Supervisors and Shift Order log book.
• Perform tank and containment inspections for the Environmental department.
• Review and perform Standard Operating Procedures.
• Direct console operator and field operators activities to make sure units are operated efficiently.
• Follow safe working procedures and adhere to safe practices in assigned areas.
• Inventory all chemicals, operations supplies and product inventories.
• Troubleshoots all process equipment.
• Participate on the Emergency Management Organization team.
• Approve work orders in the maintenance management system.
• Participate in promoting good housekeeping practices.
• Communicate with outside vendors and customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• A high school diploma or equivalent. Trade school, formal training/significant work experience or associates degree highly preferred.
• Current valid driver's license required
• Must have quality verbal and written communication skills.
• A minimum of 5 years experience working in an industrial plant environment
• Experience supervising team in a plant environment
• Previous work experience with compressor and plant monitoring and maintenance, process control adjustments, monitoring of pipeline SCADA systems, DCS and SCADA systems integrity
• Basic computer skills to include knowledge of Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to coordinate, prioritize and execute many tasks at once

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, and taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and with flammable liquids. The employee frequently works in high, precarious places and exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, acidic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Materials and Equipment Used:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly use hand tools, computers, phone, fax, copier, map printer/plotter and analytical electronic devices, buried pipe line locators and operate a motor vehicle.
