POSITION SUMMARY:

Supervises accounting staff responsible for the system entry and reconciliation of refined product sales, purchases and stock transfer movements.  Provides leadership and technical direction for projects and information needs related to product movements.  Acts as a liaison between operations and accounting.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews documentation of gain/ loss entries and inventory reconciliations to ensure timely, efficient, and accurate processing of product transactions.

 

  • Trains and supervises staff on daily and monthly responsibilities.

 

  • Acts as knowledgeable resource, providing leadership and technical direction for projects and information needs related to product movements and associated accounting issues.

 

  • Acts as a back up to fill any gaps related to resource absences.

 

  • Compiles and communicates information to respond to requests from external and internal auditors.

 

  • Handles special informational requests as necessary from management and operations.

 

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
  • At least 3 years of accounting experience is required.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
