Responsible for providing operational and technical services using computer-based settlement systems data management (e.g. STAR, Synthesis) to ensure fair and accurate settlement to our customers. Members of the Measurement and Leak Detection Assurance team under Central Engineering Services team within the Operations, Engineering & Distribution Services (OEDS) organization.



  • Compiles, edits tickets, review, and transfer of EFM and other measurement data from receipt and delivery measurement points
  • Operate computer-based settlement systems data management (e.g. STAR, Synthesis)
  • Work under direct/indirect supervision, uses judgment to analyze and identify volume, balance, and liquid quality discrepancies.
  • Lead the troubleshooting of measurement deficiencies and work with a supervisor, field personnel, and accounting groups
  • Balances monthly volumetric data, verify the accuracy and transmits volumes to various internal and external sources
  • Sets up new meter stations/point in measurement settlement system to ensure volumes are properly assigned and allocated in accordance to contractual and industry guidelines.
  • Determines the appropriate placement of new and existing measurement points within the system for accurate settlement
  • Files and maintain documents of records that is subject to internal and external audit (e.g.  Sarbanes-Oxley documentation)
  • Develops a working knowledge and understanding of Crude Oil measurement and be the subject matter experts of the system and assets
  • Require travel up to 50%-75% for training during the first 2-3 months of hiring and up to 25% during a normal period




  • Minimum High School diploma or GED required.  Accounting or business degree preferred


  • Basic Excel spreadsheet applications including both mathematical and functionality formulas, multi-page workbooks, some experience with Microsoft Word is required
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, ten-key by touch
  • Excellent communication skills including listening and comprehension are required
  • Must be comfortable with questioning all issues that are not understood
  • Previous field measurement, data systems or accounting experience preferred
  • Organized and deadline oriented with the flexibility to multitasks
  • A willingness to learn and grow with the position is essential
  • Must be able to work well in a dynamic team environment
