Summary 

This International Product Scheduler position is a hybrid role combining the responsibilities of a scheduler, analyst and marine coordinator.  The potential candidate will require a strong communication skills in both English and Spanish, written and oral, in order to support International trading customers in South and Central America.  This role works internally with Refined Products Trading, Refined Products Scheduling, Refinery blenders, Marine Chartering, Marine Operations; additionally work to coordinating narrowing of laycans/delivery windows with various international third party customers and nomination of vessels to the customers and third party terminals for clearance.  The international scheduler also coordinates the creation of inspection nominations, additive instructions, documentation instructions along with gathering/reviewing/approving documents for Trade Compliance and Accounting.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support international refined products traders in preparation of tenders, inventory management, load windows, etc.
  • Reviews Deal details (Commodity contract) for legal, contractual and financial obligations.
  • Maintain export program report (volumes, customers, load/discharge windows, contract specifics including coordination with Traders, refined product Schedulers
  • Nominate and clear vessels with all 3rd parties for export cargoes, collaborate with Marine as required, discussing blending/sampling plan with Refinery
  • Maintains close working relationship with Marine Operations to ensure the vessel arrives on time, prepare cargo tanks per our cleaning matrix or approved international cleaning guide, maximize cargo intake and stow onboard properly, monitor daily vessel performance (ETA/speed/winds/currents/weather forecast), etc.
  • Works with Tesoro Mexico team to plan the load and discharge in different Mexican ports, request discharge windows, vetting vessels and review/approve port costs that occur in Mexico.
  • Manage documentation instructions for all exports of refined products, review/approve documentation related to exports (BOLs, Cert. of Original, COA, COQ, etc
  • Collaborate with Customers to narrow laycans in support of our inventory and dock schedules, minimize delays.
  • Schedule all exports in applicable scheduling/accounting systems; validate movements in SAP or like programs as per corporate policy/procedures

 

Educataion & Expereince 

  • 2 or more years of experience in  internatinoal /products scheduling experience or proven execution of equal ability in refining and marketing/petrochemical industry required
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in related field is required
