SUMMARY:

This Contract Analyst position ensures timely, accurate administration of, and each party’s compliance with the contractual obligations relating to various forms of agreements required to support Marathon’s Branded fuel contracts with customers. Contract Analyst provides administrative support to the Contracts and Compliance group and supports key compliance and assignment activities as needed.  Provides contract analysis and reporting. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the overall administration, support, processing, and internal/external distribution of various types of contracts (listed below).
  • Creates electronic record of various contracts by entering required metadata fields in company’s approved electronic repository.
  • Scans physical contracts and attaches electronic image to the appropriate record.
  • Updates contract metadata in enterprise resource system and extract data as needed for reporting or research needs.
  • Compiles and forwards contracts to the Credit department as reference.
  • Performs various administrative support functions related to the overall contract lifecycle as directed. Monitors, tracks, and updates contract status in various enterprise resource systems. Updates contract metadata in enterprise resource system and extract data as needed for reporting or research needs.
  • Develops a conceptual understanding of the various forms of contracts used in Marketing.
  • Prepares physical consents, letters, notices for external distribution and ensures timely internal routing of contracts for countersignature. Interfaces with internal/external teams and provides contract status updates as directed.
  • With guidance, enters relevant and appropriate data into established templates as directed for the following –
    • Consent
    • Release of Assignor
    • Assignment & Assumption of Agreements
    • ABP Assignment & Assumption Agreement
    • Successor in Interest Designation
    • Continuing Guaranty
    • Memorandum of Gas Agreement
    • Release and Reconveyance Agreement
    • Right of First Refusal Agreement
    • Notice of Claim letter
    • Hold Claim Letter
    • Instruction Pack
    • ROFR Response Letter
    • 45-Day Letters
    • 180 Day – Abandonment Letter
    • Notice of Denial of Consent
  • Resolves issues within given authority and escalates complex inquiries/issues for additional input and response.
  • Supports maintenance of Certificate of Insurance repository.
  • Drafts customer balance reconciliation notices.
  • Supports issuance of Default Letters and other customer compliance activities.
  • Uploads Certified Receipts for USPS correspondence sent to customers.
  • Distributes email to each corresponding team based on the context of the email when sent to the Marketing Services inbox.
  • Distributes physical mail to each team or individual.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business management, accounting, finance, or business unit related field of study required.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in contract administration or related field preferred. 
  • Knowledge of the petroleum industry, with a focus on marketing and customer service preferred.
