This position supports our Southwest Crude Oil Gathering business unit and is responsible for consolidating and analyzing data from multiple sources in order to inform the business and support effective decision making on operations and strategy.  Prepares reports and analysis to identify and monitor business drivers that affect profitability and support overall management strategy.



  • Participate as a member of the Crude Gathering Leadership Team
  • Complete monthly P/L and budget-to-actual reports for operating expenses and maintenance capital
  • Work collaboratively with operations to forecast capital expenditures in alignment with the strategic plan
  • Partner with budget owners to understand financial results and resolve discrepancies; forecast expenses, and understand volume impacts from operations
  • Work with budget owners to develop reports to help manage expenses
  • Work with operations and maintenance to develop and maintain a model for tracking LPO
  • Manage annual expense and maintenance capital budget process
  • Support the financial analysis of organic growth projects, optimization efforts and contractual revisions
  • Work with other departments to provide financial process oversight for all projects that affect OPEX, revenue or financial reporting.  This includes the impact growth projects will have on headcount and expenses
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Ops, Accounting, and FP&A groups to problem-solve for system data flow issues preventing accurate and timely management reporting
  • Improve financial stewardship through real-time tools and/or reporting to improve leadership line of sight to revenue and cost improvements
  • Provide analysis of expense trends and employ metrics to identify anomalies and opportunities to reduce cost
  • Work with leadership team to continually improve line-of-site to individual asset performance including profitability and utilization



  • Strong knowledge of finance and  accounting concepts and principles
  • Solid understanding of key business drivers
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform moderately complex financial modeling and analysis



  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field 
  • Previous experience in business or financial analysis
