Summary:

 

Performs a variety of moderately to highly complex Accounting activities in accordance with policies, principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collects, compiles, analyzes, and verifies financial data to ensure the integrity of accounting records.  Investigates and resolves discrepancies.
  • Prepares analysis and schedules in support of financial statements.
  • Posts journal entries and other financial transactions, maintains general ledger, and reconciles accounts.
  • Identifies costs and efficiency gaps and recommends ways to reduce costs or improve processes and standards.
  • May provide corporate accounting advice to leadership to assist them in managing their financial responsibilities
  • May document, update, and maintain internal procedures or work on special projects.
  • Serves as a resource to less experienced accountants. May train or review the work of others

  • Collect, compile, analyze and verify financial data to ensure the integrity of accounting records
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Undertake complex assignments
  • Understand our SOX controls and compliance thereof
  • Execute thorough documentation in work product and journal entries
  • Streamline procedures without jeopardizing accuracy

  • Keep your leader informed of issues as they develop- no surprises
  • Provide timely responses to requests/emails from me and others (i.e., within 24 hours)
  • Ask for help when you need it or before it’s too late
  • Present ideas/concerns/feedback
  • Maintain powerful collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders

Problem Solve

  • Work independently with minimal guidance and limited supervision
  • Resolve moderately complex problems independently
  • Recognize when problems need to be addressed and escalated, and be prepared to recommend a possible solution

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years accounting/finance experience, or 3 years of corporate accounting experience.
  • CPA or Big 4 experience
