Position Summary

This position supports the Latin America business unit and is responsible for the day to day accounting and reporting activities of multiple processes and legal entities. Responsible for consolidating and analyzing enterprise data from multiple sources in order to ensure the appropriate presentation in the financial statements. Works with third party service providers and internal stakeholders as part of the monthly and quarterly reporting activities.

Performs a variety of moderately to complex day to day activities including the most complex Latin America accounting activities in accordance with policies, principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.

This role provides high level of experience and visibility to all Latin America activities.


Core activities:

  • Analyzes, and verifies financial data to ensure the integrity of accounting records.  Investigates and resolves discrepancies. May collect and compile financial data.
  • Prepares analysis and schedules in support of financial statements.
  • Posts and review journal entries and other financial transactions, maintains general ledger, and reconciles accounts that require special handling.
  • Identifies costs and efficiency gaps and recommends ways to reduce costs or improve processes and standards.
  • Provides accounting advice to leadership to assist them in managing their financial responsibilities.
  • Formulates and evaluates accounting processes to ensure proper control, adherence to GAAP requirements, and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Leads cross-functional projects related to area of expertise
  • Responsible for multiple legal entities and a core financial process for all of the Latam activity
  • Work and coordinate with multiple third-party teams


Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years accounting/finance experience
  • Understanding of IFRS and Mexican accounting processes
  • Fluent in Spanish and English


Knowledge, skills & abilities

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, financial statements and reports, and ledgers and journals
  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in using accounting or related systems
  • Strong ability to multi-task and adapt in ambiguous environments
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to review and analyze the most complex accounting information
  • Ability to identify, research and resolve complex accounting issues
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment and promote teamwork
  • Ability to effectively interact with management and lead and guide others
  • Required travel up to 30% of the time
  • Required to work extensive hours and sometimes over weekends with appropriate flexibility
