Overview

Overall, the position entails managing the electrical systems and equipment at the Illinois Refining Division. This includes budgeting for planned equipment replacements, troubleshooting existing issues, implementing new solutions and creating new reliability programs targeting longer run-times and safer operations. The position requires a large amount of team work and interfacing with all departments of the Robinson refinery. This position reports to the Reliability Group Supervisor Manager.

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance of electrical equipment with the IRD Mechanical Integrity program, including identification of covered equipment, development and scheduling of ITPM plans, budgeting, analysis of results and developing recommendations for repair.
  • Develop concepts and cost justification for reliability improvement projects, prepare reports that monitor and track reliability indicators, maintain the Electrical Reliability Study within ETAP, provide technical resources and training to support our reliability programs.
  • Support refinery turnarounds, including scope development, planning, reviews, material acquisition and execution of electrical work scopes.
  • Assist with the specification of new Electrical equipment for Projects, make recommendations for spare parts and provide feedback from a maintenance and reliability perspective.
  • Provide technical/troubleshooting assistance and leadership in resolving electrical design, operation and maintenance problems, and contact internal and external experts as required.
  • Maintain compliance with corporate electrical specifications and maintenance requirements via identification of covered equipment, development and scheduling of ITPM plans, budgeting, analysis of results and developing recommendations for repair.
  • Write/revalidate electrical procedures.
  • Display a commitment to training and continuous improvement through innovation.
