CM Package Creator / 570 Piping Inspector

 

Preferred to be certified to API 570 but not required.  If not, it will be a requirement within the first 12 months.

 

Creates Piping repair Travelers based on corrosion trends from the results of Ultrasonic and Radiographic thickness.

            Creating Meridium Recommendations and closing them once the work is complete.

            Updating the repair history in the Piping circuit folders.

            Update Inspection sketches with any small piping modifications

            Update Meridium with any new Corrosion Monitoring Locations.

            Work with NDE contractor to obtain baseline thickness readings for repaired piping.

 

Works with the Turnaround Planners to create Piping repair Travelers for the leak and repair lists.

            Assist the Planners in determining the best repair plan based on current specs, codes and Recommended Practices

            Creates Turnaround Growth repair packages during turnaround.

            Follow turnaround repairs as an API 570 Inspector.

 

Works closely with Operations Maintenance Coordinators and Area Planners.

            Informs them of upcoming overdue piping recommendations

            Assists them by giving them the necessary documentation for new repair packages.

 

Conduct various special projects and tasks associated to the piping inspection program, improvements and updating.  

 

Conducts API 570 External piping inspections

 

Assists with Turnaround Preparation by reviewing UT and RT data and forecasting future piping repairs based on trends.

 

Testing of Meridium when new updates are made.

 

Oversees the Spring Can work crew during turnarounds.

 

Working knowledge and experience with Excel and Word is beneficial.
