POSITION SUMMARY: We are currently seeking a Mechanic Operator who is willing to cross-train in all aspects of the facility maintenance and operations. The qualified candidate will perform mechanical functions including inspecting, checking, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing all mechanical equipment in order to maintain high levels of safe and productive equipment performance. Primary responsibilities include all duties:
• Train to operate plants on a regular and as needed basis
• Must be able to meet the requirements of the Company's Operator Qualification program to perform identified covered tasks and remain compliant
• Perform remedial and preventative maintenance and maintains facility appearance and safety through good housekeeping practices inside and outside of the facilities.
• Work rotating shift-work schedules as needed
• Compressor operations as needed
• Maintaining clean and safe work environment
• Minor and major compressor maintenance
• Maintaining scheduled preventative maintenance programs
• Maintaining daily reports
• Ordering parts as needed
• Regular use of complex machines and equipment (desktop/laptop computer and software, road and production machines and equipment, etc.)
• Attending Safety meetings and comply with all MarkWest safety rules.
• Reporting any unsafe condition or situation that would compromise the integrity of any equipment or locations.
• Making any or all repairs as deemed reasonable and safe to do.
• Maintaining the tools and equipment issued to them.
• Work a 14/14 rotation

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of applicable experience in Oilfield operations
• Ability to read and comprehend technical operational manuals
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
• Strong organizational skills, ability to work well under time pressures
• Ability to coordinate, prioritize and execute many tasks at once

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, and taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and with flammable liquids. The employee frequently works in high, precarious places and exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, acidic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly use hand tools, computers, phone, fax, copier and operate a motor vehicle.
