This position will perform any plant or gathering system operations maintenance and technical issues related to MarkWest Energy. These duties will include but are not limited to all responsible for installing and maintaining measurement and communication equipment in processing plants and compressor stations.

• Programming and calibrating ultrasonic meters, coriolis meters and EFM Flow computers.
• Calculating volume rates and sizes of orifice plates to set flow rates.
• Change orifice plates and transmitters
• Collecting gas and liquid samples.
• Installing, operating and maintaining gas and liquid sampling systems.
• Installing, programming, maintaining and calibrating portable and stationary gas or liquid chromatographs.
• Acquiring information on site using stain tubes or electronic devices for obtaining H2S, CO2, O2, water content and nitrogen.
• Developing and maintaining meter test schedules,
• Installing equipment from drawings, schematics and manufacturer's manuals.
• Troubleshooting and rectifying equipment failures using voltmeters and test equipment.
• Planning, scheduling and coordinating work with other departments to ensure timely completion of equipment installation and repair.
• Installing, maintaining and troubleshooting EFM radio telemetry system both full duplex and spread spectrum systems.
• Installing, maintaining and troubleshooting process controls, regulation equipment & relief valves.
• Operating appropriate PC software.

• Assist I/E Technician with plant and compressor station PLC’s and system SCADA operations and maintenance
• Maintaining clean and safe working environment for plant operations
• Making any or all repairs as deemed reasonable and safe
• Maintaining scheduled preventative maintenance programs on instrumentation and electrical equipment
• Maintaining accurate records shutdown and safety checks
• Maintaining all required documentation for process safety management
• Operating a company vehicle
• Maintaining the company vehicle at all times to ensure safety to him/her and the equipment that he will operate
• Maintaining the tools and equipment issued to him/her
• Take call on a regular basis
• Work weekends on an as needed basis
• Ordering software, electrical & Instrument parts as needed

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and with flammable liquids. The employee frequently works in high, precarious places and exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, acidic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Materials and Equipment Used:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly use hand tools, computers, phone, fax, copier, map printer/plotter and analytical electronic devices, buried pipe line locators and operate a motor vehicle.
