POSITION SUMMARY:

This position supports the Latin America business unit and is responsible for the day-to-day accounting and reporting activities of multiple processes.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Ensure accurate & timely compliance with regulatory deadlines (payroll taxes)
  • Interact with local payroll providers in order to enhance all processes. –
  • Be a liaison between payroll team and employee to support on any payroll related issues, questions or concerns.
  • Works with Accounting Manager and appropriate personnel to design operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improves efficiency.
  • Ensures prompt and professional customer service and all company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Makes sure Payroll is processed and paid timely and accurately Bi-Weekly Payrolls
  • Follow up on process employee exceptions; retro pay, salary changes, adjustments.
  • Prepare payroll reconciliations
  • Assist in any audits as needed
  • Process, manage and control the Payroll cycle end to end, including admissions and terminations for Mexico.
  • Ensure accurate & timely compliance with regulatory deadlines (payroll taxes)
  • Interact with local payroll providers in order to enhance all processes.
  • Monitor and maintain the employee's personal file (vacation, sick leaves, salary changes etc).
  • Support Employees on any payroll related issues, questions or concerns.
  • Work on special projects with different teams (Finance, FP&A etc)

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • 3-4 years of experience in accounting or finance maintaining accounting and financial records and reports
  • Must be Bilingual - Fluency (speaking and writing) in both Spanish and English
  • Understanding of IFRS and Mexican accounting processes

 

 

SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, financial statements and reports, and ledgers and journals
  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in using accounting or related systems
  • Strong ability to multi-task and adapt in ambiguous environments
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to review and analyze the most complex accounting information
  • Ability to identify, research and resolve complex accounting issues
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment and promote teamwork
  • Required travel up to 10% of the time
  • Required to work extensive hours and sometimes over weekends with appropriate flexibility
