POSITION SUMMARY:

Installs, maintains and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and piping systems. When dictated by facility requirements, position requires being placed on a rotating “on call” list.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in and practice all aspects of the MarkWest Safety Program
• Perform at the direction of plant supervision all required maintenance, repair, and installation of machinery, equipment, physical structures, and piping systems.
• Maintain maintenance records on all facility equipment and systems
• Oversee Maintenance B in all aspects of job duties
• Trains Maintenance B
• Assists in writing maintenance procedures
• Participate in Process Hazard Analysis
• Ensure environmental compliance in areas of responsibility
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Operate a company vehicle
• Know all safety and emergency procedures for plant operations and maintenance.
• Works with all positions at plant and outside contractors.
• Performs other duties as directed or requested by supervision.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED is required
• Associate degree in industrial maintenance or related fields, with five years’ experience in maintaining industrial equipment and piping systems preferred. Equivalent degree from a nationally accredited apprenticeship program with consummate experience acceptable. Experience that meets or exceeds all the above requirements may be substituted for education.
• Must hold a valid Driver License and have an excellent driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical, drug test and background check
• Must be willing to work 12 hour shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
• Applicants must be professional, have a positive attitude and be a team player
• Self-motivated with the ability to work well with others
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and execute many tasks at once
