POSITION SUMMARY:  Ensures regulatory compliance for natural gas plants and compressor stations with primary focus on Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) program.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures regulatory compliance with primary focus on Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) program and the OOOO and OOOOa rules.
  • Ensure compliance with LDAR program, handle the OGI compliance monitoring for OOOOa compressor stations and oversee the 4 processing facilities located in Oklahoma.
  • Manage all aspects of the LDAR process, monitoring, leaks, rechecks, and data management
  • Work directly with facility personnel, engineering and procurement to ensure LDAR program is   effectively implemented
  • Compile and analyze LDAR data
  • Submit reports to regulatory agencies
  • Train facility personnel in all aspects of LDAR program
  • Function within existing environmental department
  • 50% travel (typically day trips) to all facilities within the business unit to ensure compliance with air regulations specifically related to LDAR 
  • Stay abreast of all current rules and regulations pertaining to air regulations and permits for oil and natural gas facilities.
  • OGI Camera certified (preferred)
  • General LDAR knowledge
  • Able to read and interpret federal and state regulations

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred not required
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in LDAR
  • A strong working knowledge of federal and state and local air regulations and programs
  • Current valid driver's license
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Discretion when dealing with confidential information
  • Ability to keep records, analyze and summarize raw data, in order to fill out and submit summary and regulatory reports
  • Ability to work well and communicate with all plant personnel and senior managers
  • Strong computer skills required
  • Ability to work in outside weather conditions.
