SUMMARY

Assists the Refinery in achieving effective maintenance performance through the systematic application of work planning, scheduling, data management, and reporting on completions.  Responsible for the proactive portion of maintenance activities which entails identifying, planning and coordinating activities that will be performed; analyzing and managing equipment databases; and assisting in the specification and purchasing of new equipment.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Tracks and ensures the completion of Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance activities and Routine Corrective.
  • Creates work packages for daily shop activities, plant shutdowns and projects
  • Reviews, identifies scope of work, and plans work orders for releasing to maintenance scheduler for execution.
  • Estimates labor and material costs for planned work.
  • Identifies and communicates safety, equipment and other shop’s support requirements.
  • Determines material specifications and availability prior to work execution.     
  • Coordinating job requirements that involve other departments and resources.
  • Loads planned work onto the long-range shop schedule which includes 90 day look ahead of PM’s
  • Populates 2W schedule with input from shop foreman & routine scheduler.
  • Manages planner group SAP notification backlog
  • Analyzes equipment history files and upgrades preventive and normal maintenance procedures, including task lists and bill of materials (BOM’s).
  • Reviews completed work orders for accuracy of information and completes necessary notation in equipment history files.  Notifies supervisor for corrective action.
  • Take input from shop foreman on work order execution comments as continuous improvement on future job plans
  • Responsible for writing service requisitions in SAP for external vendor support when needed
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED required
  • Undergraduate engineering degree preferred

 

EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years as a construction supervisor, foreman, or planner in refining or petrochemical industry
  • Strong proficiency in SAP Preventative Maintenance PM module required
  • Ability to read & interpret P&ID’s and blueprints
  • Working knowledge of routine scheduling methodology required
  • Knowledge of Prometheus Advanced Scheduler preferred
  • Able to work extended schedule as required
  • Working knowledge of Primavera schedule tool preferred
