Summary

The Fabrication Foreman is responsible for supervising maintenance manpower along with supporting the daily maintenance plan. The Maintenance Foreman is also responsible for maintaining all equipment in the assigned area and executing area maintenance plans in order to reduce cost and maximize equipment availability. This position reports to the General Maintenance Supervisor.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the weekly maintenance schedule is executed safely and to MPC standards.
  • Prioritize maintenance efforts to support the operational and production goals of the plant.
  • Oversee the completion of all shop specific regulatory, safety, and equipment preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Oversee that procedures are followed; discrepancies are identified and approved for execution.
  • Develop and oversee the yearly training plan for shop employees to ensure safety and regulatory trainings, as well as professional and skills development trainings are complete.
  • Assist the Supervisor and Planner in developing and maintaining the routine maintenance budget.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the shop and maintenance areas.
  • Follow up on safety items generated through audits and implement suggestions as warranted.
  • Ensure the environmental accumulation areas are maintained to meet the regulations and environmental policies of the refinery.
  • Steward the shop’s equipment and tools to ensure they are maintained and serviceable.

 

Minimum Experience/Education

  • 5 years of refinery maintenance and/or operations experience.

 

Preferred Experience/Education

  • Engineering, Construction, or Trade School certificate or degree.
  • Supervisory and/or project coordinator/lead experience
  • Job planning and/or estimating experience
  • SAP work order and requisition processing experience

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Alaska Driver’s License.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.  Must be capable of communicating within all levels of the organization
