RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Primary lead for the ongoing development of the MPLX financial model used to determine financial impacts on and appropriate financial direction for MPLX. Enhances and utilizes the MPLX model and prepares various scenario analyses for MPLX and MPC executive management and both company board of directors.
  2. Directly involved in preparation of an extensive range of board materials regarding distributions, drop downs, acquisitions or other analysis as directed by MPLX executive team.
  3. Presents financial information to senior management during monthly meetings as well as ad-hoc meetings where financial modeling impacts are reviewed.
  4. On an ongoing basis, liaise extensively with business development advisors, operating finance leads, MPC and MPLX accounting and senior management in law and tax on current developments for MPLX (and the Midstream space) to insure the MPLX distribution model accurately reflects the most up to date information.
  5. Responsible for pro-forma modeling and coordinating presentation of any contemplated business combination, including acquisitions, mergers and divestitures, for MPLX.
  6. Work extensively and collaboratively with external financial advisors and bankers engaged to provide counsel to MPLX management team.
  7. Lead the evaluation and preparation of detailed analysis of MPLX comparator information to determine the impacts comparator actions may have on MPLX, including specific recommendations to executive management on strategic implications and Investor Relations on public disclosures.
  8. Lead, mentor and develop financial analysts; provide direct staff supervision, determine appropriate training and education requirements, conduct performance feedback sessions and offer career guidance.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum ten (10) years of financial forecasting and analysis experience, emphasis on modeling
  • In-depth knowledge of midstream energy business
