POSITION SUMMARY:

Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC), based in Findlay, Ohio, is searching for a dynamic and strategic leader to join the Organizational Capability team.  Reporting directly to the Director of Organizational Capability, the Compliance Supervisor will work collaboratively with legal counsel, business leaders, Human Resources (HR) leaders, Human Resources Consultants (HRCs), and HR centers of excellence to support the achievement of MPC’s business objectives by leading the company’s HR compliance program.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Organizational Capability and other key stakeholders to oversee the effective administration of the company’s HR policies and associated practices, i.e., EEO policy, harassment policy, drug and alcohol policy, weapons policy, workplace violence policy, affirmative action plans, VISA sponsorships, etc...
  • Ensure the development or procurement of effective compliance training for HR leaders and professionals, and for MPC leaders and employees as appropriate.
  • Develop, enhance, and evaluate current HR compliance policies and practices (through research and market analysis) to ensure continuous program improvement.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leadership on HR compliance policies and practices.
  • Develop organizational performance metrics, as appropriate, to drive accountability and measure programmatic effectiveness.
  • Lead, coach, energize, and inspire a team of compliance professionals. 
  • Responsibility for managing budget for HR compliance initiatives.
  • Position located in Findlay, Ohio; occasional travel required as appropriate to MPC’s business locations.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum undergraduate degree in human resources or related discipline required.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in human resources, law, or related field with accountability for policy interpretation or administration.
  • Prior leadership experience, whether supervisory or not, preferred.
  • High energy, innovative, results and execution focused with ability to lead multiple assignments and priorities.
  • Strong business acumen, ethical decision making, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skillset.
  • Demonstrated champion of diversity and inclusion.
