Overview:

This position will support the Coordinating Supervisor implement the Controller’s Organization strategic initiatives in the areas of accounting intern recruitment, entry-level and experienced accountant recruitment, college campus career fair attendance/on-campus interviewing, intern event and activity planning, employee onboarding and continuous development, coordinating CPA exam review course registrations and CPE programming. He/she will be responsible for a wide-variety of tasks and will work very closely with the Finance & Accounting Human Resource Recruiter. This position represents the face of MPC and the Controller’s Organization in many situations, thus the individual must create and maintain a professional and positive image through interactions with students, business school career services,  faculty, accounting & professional societies, Controller’s Organization employees, staff and vendors.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and support college campus recruiting teams by assisting with presentations, attending college career fairs and events, and coordinating the payment of student organizational funding.
  2. Work closely with the Finance & Accounting Human Resource Recruiter to screen online applicants for video interview completion, request delivery of offers to potential candidates, coordinate start and end times for interns, review of intern performance via the intern/Co-Op PDP, and coordinate intern full-time interviewing. 
  3. Track intern and full-time candidates in Excel worksheet, maintain interview schedules, resumes, transcripts and intern presentations on shared drive.
  4. Plan, coordinate, schedule and communicate arrangements for a variety of accounting intern and new hire events throughout the year.
  5. Order, monitor and distribute intern and new hire gifts.
  6. Prepare and monitor annual recruitment budget.
  7. Successfully onboard interns, new hires and experienced hires.
  8. Organize interview schedules for external full-time entry level and experienced candidates with Finance & Accounting Human Resource Recruiter. Additionally, organize schedules for high school students or others requesting to job shadow in Accounting.
  9. Coordinate intern and new hire digital signage messages, pictures and intern presentations.
  10. Maintain documentation required for CPE sponsors as outlined by Accountancy Board of Ohio.
  11. Provide access to CPE subscription website, run reports, and serve as the main contact.
  12. Assist in coordinating CPE programming and other professional development opportunities for the department.
  13. Administer registration process for the Becker CPA Review program and the processing of invoices from Becker.
  14. Other duties as assigned.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 4-10 years of experience in Accounting
