Marathon Petroleum Company is looking for an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled, unscheduled and line maintenance on corporate jets.  Keep Marathon aircraft operating at the highest aviation standards.  Candidate must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule based on aircraft availability.  This may include early mornings, nights, and weekends.



  1. Maintain and troubleshoot airframe, engine, electrical, and avionics systems.
  2. Perform line maintenance to include tugging and fueling of aircraft.
  3. All aspects of aircraft dispatching and returns.
  4. Perform and document inspections, aircraft repair, and routine maintenance on all systems in accordance with FAA, manufacturer, and company guidelines.
  5. Complete entries in aircraft logs certifying repair, parts and equipment installation.
  6. Maintain company tools and test equipment.
  7. Confer with Company pilots on operating conditions of aircraft and coordinate repair time with operational schedules.
  8. Keep familiar with appropriate maintenance directives, bulletins and procedures; and prepares required reports and records. 
  9. Attend aircraft, engine, and avionics training as assigned.
  10. Assume other potential Aviation assignments such as (but not limited to); overseeing hangar facilities maintenance, fuel farm maintenance, conducting maintenance audits, and participating in industry forums; as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  11. May be assigned as a Lead Technician for an aircraft with responsibility for scheduling, performing and managing the maintenance program for assigned aircraft.
  12. May be required to perform Cabin Safety Attendant and Flight Technician duties on international and domestic flights on occasion.
  13. Adhere to directions contained in flight operations-related manuals and related procedures.
  14. Participate proactively in the safety management system by:
  • Actively identifying, reporting and mitigating hazards and safety-risk management deficiencies;
  • Providing timely input to management to ensure that the company’s safety-risk profile is accurate and up-to-date; and
  • When appropriate, applying hazard checklists to make sound pre-flight and in-flight decisions. 


Required Qualifications:

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
  • 5+ years experience turbine powered aircraft maintenance or practical, hands on experience with Gulfstream, Challenger or equivalent category business jets.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain a valid US passport


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Gulfstream G450, Bombardier Challenger 300/350 experience
  • Avionics experience troubleshooting, repair and installation
  • NCATT Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) certification
  • Aero IT certification
  • Inspectors Authorization
