Summary 

 

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide project controls, analysis and reporting for a given set of projects and expenditures.

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

  • Develops and maintains project cost tracking in existing tools (SAP, Excel, Prolog).    Provides department leadership in transition to new Corporate tools.
  • Assists in the maintenance of high-level schedules for projects.
  • Manages budget, forecasting, accrual, and status processes.  Applies cost control and other analytical techniques to quantify financial performance.  Attends required meetings and proactively engages key stakeholders for detailed cost information. 
  • Maintains project metrics throughout the duration of the project.  Responsible for identifying budget, forecast, and authorization issues early and assists in developing resolutions.
  • Develops, organizes, and presents performance reports for internal use.  Presents performance results to department management monthly or as requested.
  • Supports department managers, project/program managers, and budget coordinators during the budgeting process.
  • Assists with related project control elements such as planning, workforce management, and risk management when assigned.
  • Other job tasks as assigned by Supervision.

 

Requirements 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business or related discipline required. 
  • Five years’ experience in Engineering or Accounting required.
  • Demonstrated Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP required.
  • Project Controls experience in petroleum, chemical or related industry preferred.
