<span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">POSITION SUMMARY: 

The position is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing programs to advance Plants, Field and/or Pipeline operations, safety, reliability, efficiency, and profitability.  Will be flexible to fill in for operations supervisors and managers on an as needed basis and assist in other operating areas as required. 

 

<span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Develop and teach training programs for plants, field and/ or pipeline operations personnel
  • Maintain plants, field and/ or pipeline operations training records and recertification requirements
  • Create, manage, and proctor training assessments for plants, field and/or pipeline operations
  • Write operations procedures and lead procedure reviews
  • Participate and practice all aspects of the MPLX Safety program and procedures
  • Participate and practice all aspects of the MPLX Environmental program and procedures
  • Reporting any unsafe condition or situation that would compromise the integrity of any MPLX equipment

or location.

  • Possess the ability to read and understand P&ID’s and Process Control
  • Create reports and manage data collection associated with plants, field or pipeline operations
  • Review and analyze reports for operating trends and efficiency improvement opportunities.  Make recommendations to plants, field or pipeline operations based on technical reviews.
  • Review shift logs, maintain log records, and make evaluations for logging improvements and standardization.
  • Participate in MOC process including approvals of operations changes as necessary
  • Create, route and track MOC’s.

 

<span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must possess a strong working knowledge of either G&P Plants, Field and Pipeline Operations with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the designated area

 

<span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">SKILLS: 

  • Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Must have strong communication skills and the ability to present to large groups
  • Be customer service oriented
  • Leadership experience
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and meet MPC driving requirements
  • Must be willing to work extended hours as needed
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to train and motivate others
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize and execute many tasks at once.
