Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, confirming that equipment is electrically safe and secure, and provide documentation that lockout is complete.  Understand the requirements of NFPA 70E for the usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and electrical PPE needed to ensure personal safety and the safety of coworkers.  Provide support for a production centered organization by maintaining electrical equipment using established troubleshooting techniques or methodologies.  Possess knowledge of various electrical test equipment, both low and medium voltage equipment preferred.  Perform general electrical maintenance including wiring repairs, lighting and circuit breaker maintenance.  Understand National Electrical Code requirements for industrial and hazardous locations.  Maintain a valid Michigan Journeyman Electrical License is required.  The successful candidate must pass both a written test and a hands-on skill demonstration test.
