POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Quorum Business Analyst performs functions to support and develop functionality for Quorum midstream applications.  The applications are as follows: TIPS, CAW, QCM, QDOD, ESUITE and QQM.

 

This position will work closely with midstream business partners, peers across IT, and software vendor to solve complex problems, deliver business process efficiencies and establish multi-year product strategies that align with objectives of Midstream IT and business partner organizations. The role will champion compliance and governance, ensuring solutions are reliable, secure, and aligned with enterprise technologies. The role is responsible for resolving problems, delivering value-added enhancements, gathering and documenting business requirements, and the coordination of users testing.  The role will also be responsible for leading projects and may manage a team of project members.  A successful candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, high work standards and be self-motivated to become operationally embedded as an integral component of the revenue accounting and gas scheduling products.

 

**This position is a part of a job family with multiple levels. The successful candidate will be placed at a level commensurate with experience and qualifications.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work directly with business partners to document and formalize detailed system requirements. Internally develop or work with third party vendors to deliver support and project solutions (e.g. code, configurations, etc.) that are reliable, secure, and aligned with business requirements and IT standards.
  • Manage a product backlog of support, enhancements and project work; routinely confirm tactical alignment of priorities with business partners.
  • Drive product strategy by participating in maturity assessments and roadmap planning sessions.
  • Ability to successfully communicate with all levels within an organization and facilitate understanding of processes and issues from a business perspective.
  • Effectively work to gain credibility from the business by acting with integrity, promoting trust and respect within the IT collaboration teams and continually managing change across the effected business unit.
  • Interpret existing IT controls and apply to existing and proposed processes to ensure compliance.
  • Work after business hours to facilitate production deployments and server maintenance as needed.
  • Coordinate and oversee periodic refreshes of non-production environments with production data and code.
  • Develop business acumen to understand core business processes and desired outcomes.
  • Remain apprised of leading technologies, new requirements, and trends in the midstream oil & gas industry.

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related/equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in delivering solutions for enterprise applications as a Business Analyst, preferably with experience in the midstream oil and gas industry.
  • Experience with Quorum midstream applications (TIPS, CAW, QCM, QDOD, ESUITE and QQM) required.
  • Proven ability to support and implement critical, integrated business applications.
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems and optimize business processes.

  • Experience with Oracle database or related RDBMS skills including PL-SQL; the candidate must be able to write complex PL-SQL statements that will query, update, insert, and delete as well as be able to analyze stored procedures.
  • Experience with agile delivery methodologies, including scrum preferred.
