POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will develop, manage and implement MarkWest Energy’s (MWE) Pipeline Integrity programs and ensure compliance with Federal (PHMSA) and state regulations, as well as company standards as they pertain to 192, 194, & 195 regulatory requirements. They will also enhance MWE’s compliance process culture through targeted interactions with employees and regulatory agencies. Maintain pipeline programs and associated records.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain and coordinate implementation of pipeline integrity policies, processes and procedures.
• Participate in MarkWest Pipeline Integrity related committees.
• Serve as a resource for audit preparation and support. (49 CFR 191, 192, 194 & 195)
• Partner with Operations to provide training and knowledge development of company and regulatory requirements.
• Generates pipeline metrics and seeks to identify problems and opportunities for improving integrity performance and documentation.
• Update, implement and manage the pipeline Integrity Management Plan
• Track, bid, coordinate and manage pipeline integrity assessments & repairs
• Support data integration and GIS (APDM) development
• Support of Class Location and High Consequence Area analyses
• Facilitate state/federal regulatory notifications
• Ability to coordinate technical issues/special projects (pipeline crossing mitigation, blasting plans, etc.)
• Implement & proprietary risk management software for pipeline and pipeline facilities
• Ensure API 650 and 653 Tank compliance

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum Bachelors of Engineering degree, and 7 years related experience in pipeline compliance / regulations; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must have previous experience working with CFR 192, 194, & 195 regulatory elements as well as industry standards such as B31.3, B31.4 and B31.8
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Job will require participation at various meetings with all levels of management and company personnel.
• Must have the ability to prepare reports and other various types of documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
• Must be able to properly analyze pipeline regulations and documentation related information and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Must be proficient in conducting onsite assessments and evaluations as they relate to pipeline integrity items.
• Must be proficient in the assessment and analysis of pipe anomalies and repair requirements and procedures
• Must have above average computer skills to include knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe. SharePoint knowledge is a plus.
• Must be able to exercise discretion when dealing with confidential and privileged information.
• Must be a self-starter who works well with field operations personnel, management, public, regulatory agencies, and customers.
• Position is assigned to the Denver office
• Travel expected up to 50%
