POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will provide field coordination for MarkWest Energy (MWE) Pipeline Integrity programs and ensures compliance with Federal (PHMSA) and state regulations, as well as company standards as they pertain to 192, 194, & 195 regulatory inspections. They will also enhance MWE’s compliance process culture through targeted interactions with employees and regulatory inspectors. Maintain pipeline programs and associated records.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintains and coordinates implementation of pipeline integrity management policies, processes and procedures.
• Conducts field compliance audits, and supports corporate pipeline integrity audit activities.
• Monitors and reports on performance of pipeline programs. Generate pipeline metrics and formulates recommendations based on findings for improving performance and timely resolution of issues.
• Participate in pipeline integrity related committees as required.
• Serves as resource for audit preparation, training, and knowledge development.
• Mentor, coach and train applicable employee on audit processes and audit documentation.
• Partners with Operations to ensure procedures and operating pipeline limits have been reviewed and risk-assessed.
• Maintains internal and external audit schedules and ensures schedule time frames are met. Coordinates and may help facilitate meetings with field operations and regulatory inspectors to set audit dates. Coordinates documentation, report findings and recommendations, tracks corrective actions to completion.
• Implementation and roll-out of the MarkWest Asset Records Storage (MARS) system. Ensure proper input of documentation and train operations on the uploading process for documentation into MARS ensuring it is filed in the correct location.
• Perform QA/QC of field documentation for clerical errors and /or non-compliance before loading into MARS.
• Participates in resolution of outstanding integrity and record keeping issues pertaining to operations.
• Travel 50%


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree, and 3 years related experience in pipeline compliance / regulations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have previous experience working with CFR 192, 194, & 195 regulatory elements...
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Job will require public speaking engagements and participation at various meetings with all levels of management and personnel.
• Must have the ability to prepare reports and other various types of documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
• Must be able to properly analyze pipeline regulations and documentation related information and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Must be proficient in conducting onsite assessments and evaluations as they relate to safety and process safety management items.
• Must have above average computer skills to include knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe. SharePoint knowledge is a plus.
• Must be able to exercise discretion when dealing with confidential and privileged information.
• Must be a self-starter who works well with field operations personnel, management, public, regulatory agencies, and customers.
