Ensures regulatory compliance for natural gas plants and compressor stations with primary focus on Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) program.

• Ensure compliance with LDAR program
• Work directly with facility personnel, engineering and procurement to ensure LDAR program is effectively implemented
• Manage LDAR contractors
• Compile and analyze data
• Submit reports to regulatory agencies
• Train facility personnel in all aspects of LDAR program
• Function within existing environmental department
• Implement facility fence-line air monitoring
• Travel to all facilities within the business unit to ensure compliance with air regulations specifically related to LDAR.
• Stay abreast of all current rules and regulations pertaining to air regulations and permits for oil and natural gas facilities.


• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred in the field of physical sciences, natural sciences or engineering
• Minimum of two years’ experience in LDAR in oil & gas processes
• A strong working knowledge of federal and West Virginia air regulations and programs
• A history of successfully working on environmental compliance issues.
• Current valid driver's license
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Discretion when dealing with confidential information
• Ability to keep records, analyze and summarize raw data, in order to fill out and submit summary and regulatory reports
• Ability to work well and communicate with all plant personnel and senior managers
• Strong computer skills required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit and walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and talk or hear. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions. Noise levels within processing plants may require hearing protection.

Materials and Equipment Used:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly use hand tools, computers, phone, fax, copier, map printer/plotter and analytical electronic devices and operate a motor vehicle.
