SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting Project Managers working on capital projects in the Liberty and Utica Business Unit. This position will provide support for processing plants, compressor stations, pipeline projects and ROW. Performs all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and governmental requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Works in conjunction with Project Managers to support capital projects by taking the lead in or assisting with the following functions:

• Responsible for setting up, tracking, forecasting, and reporting capital project AFE costs.
• Recognizes and alerts Project Managers on cost issues and assists with developing AFE supplements if required.
• Work with PM and vendors to accurately forecast project cost.
• Take the lead on AFE preparation and submission to ensure budget, asset and expenditure information is correct.
• Submit monthly accruals and work in progress comments to our Fixed Assets group.
• Actively involved in the project life cycle process from inception through startup and commissioning.
• Continuously work to build strong relationships and rapport with various departments including Accounting, Procurement, Land, Business Development, Engineering and others to ensure all costs are being captured and reported accurately.
• Leads efforts around accounts payable and invoicing functions.
• Assists in developing project schedules and updates as changes occur.
• Assists in getting materials and equipment bid, tabulated, and purchased.
• Responsible for generating purchase or work orders as requested by Project Managers.
• Facilitates Master Services Agreement process for new contractors.
• Works with the Project Managers to create bid packages for construction projects.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires 4+ years of experience in the natural gas industry in an accounting, cost management, or contracts role. Bachelor’s Degree Required. Accounting-type degree a plus. Current valid driver's license required. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of individuals/employees is required. Communication skills will carry a heavy emphasis. Functional knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and Access programs. Prior experience with Oracle and SAP a plus.


Travel: Some travel required to facilities to support PM’s actively working on construction projects

Physical Demands: Requires sitting throughout most of the day, interspersed with trips to the construction sites as needed. Walking on uneven terrain is often required during normal work duties.

Working Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions, which could range from extreme cold to hot, humid conditions. High noise areas may be encountered. At all times proper PPE must be used in work areas.
