POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will perform and coordinate all Plant DCS/PLC maintenance, programming and support. Assure that all systems are functioning efficiently, accurately, and reports are generated properly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform all required maintenance, repair, calibration, programming, and installation of plant electrical, instrumentation, and computer related equipment.
• Work with manufactures, vendors, IT OT to ensure that all DSC/PLC/VFD related equipment is installed, functioning and up to date per MarkWest and Manufacture specifications.
• Maintain and coordinate all software and hardware upgrades as needed.
• Maintaining maintenance records on all DCS/PLC equipment.
• Maintaining testing schedules.
• Test instruments for resistance, voltage, and other characteristics.
• Disassemble instruments and examine parts for defects.
• Coordinate joint testing with producers and customers.
• Ensure employee safety and safe conditions are maintained.
• Assist in the correction of any unsafe conditions that are identified.
• Ensure company vehicles and equipment is maintained properly.
• Assist with Processing Plant Operations/Pipeline Operations and Supervision on an as needed basis.
• Take call and work weekend on an as needed basis.
• Assist and coordinate EH&S activities with EH&S staff.
• Assist and provide training in areas of knowledge and expertise.

Oversee and enforce safe work practices of contractors and other associated service providers as required







JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Degree in Engineering required
• Minimum of 5 years of applicable experience
• Must be proficient with Emerson Delta V
• Strong organizational skills, ability to work well under time related schedules and deadlines.
• Build and manage budgets within MarkWest standards.
• Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks on a daily basis.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical, drug test and background check
• Current valid driver’s license required.
• Must be self-motivated and possess strong communication skills to successfully work well with all levels of the organization
• Applicants must be professional, have a positive attitude and be a team player

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and with flammable liquids. The employee frequently works in high, precarious places and exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, acidic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Materials and Equipment Used:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly use hand tools, computers, phone, fax, copier, map printer/plotter and analytical electronic devices, buried pipe line locators and operate a motor vehicle.
